http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/spider-1966-up/196648-my-tires-ancient.html on the Alfa Romeo bulletin board I looked into my tires' age. They were Pirelli P400s that looked perfect. Hardly any tread wear and no blemishes anywhere. Since the 90's US tires had to have a date code added to each tire made. These had no date code.
Took the car into my local tire shop and sure enough, the tires were pre-1990. At least 22 years old. New tires all around and a front end alignment were in order. Went for a quick drive after that and those new Goodyear tires sure make a difference in Gina's handling!
